Not a huge amount of progress was made on drop bears, I have the launch/landing page ready to deploy but need to get all that glue stuff together, domain name, crm etc. I won’t put a schedule on this though as life will just do its thing in the most convenient times if I do.
Threw together a quick little ‘coming soon’ type page for a mates landscaping business. Uses astro under the hood and when we flesh it out it will likely use Keystatic as a CMS and be the first real world implementation of a page builder I fleshed out for it months ago. with the 9-5 I found myself banging my head against a wall over MIME Types and bumping create react app to oblivion. Remember kids the base url in your vite config is probably not what vites docs say, because the only reason you are still using CRA is that it is part of some complex system where it was just left in the dark for year.

Otherwise in the 9-5 I was exploring the UX/UI behind complex dashboards, and oh boy it’s a deep dive. I think I’ve got something nice together. This being another system that is used internally but rarely updated I would like to reduce the amount of third party packages we use and planning that out has been nice, however making it work without them I’m sure will be a challenge in itself.
I will stop myself there, I nearly went on about my non tech related week there. I might do more of that when I only have a small amount to write, who knows. There’s no rhyme or reason to these posts.
